Lansing Area Explorer Post

Skilled to Build Michigan Foundation is pleased to partner with the Home Builders Association of Greater Lansing and the Explorer program in creating a seven month, hands on experience, for students who have completed the 8th grade and who are under the age of 21.

This pilot program will accept a maximum of 40 students in the first year. We will meet one Saturday a month starting in September, and we will run through April. Students will receive hands on learning in trades that fall within building a home. In addition to trades, they will learn valuable life skills, such as team work, communication, and networking.

We invite you to attend an informational meeting taking place on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. This meeting will give you the opportunity to find out more about the program. It will take place at the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association conference room, located at 2937 Atrium Drive, Okemos, MI 48864.

We will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. Following the program, we will have refreshments and discuss future program opportunities. We encourage you to bring your friends. If you would like your parents to join us, invite them too!

Please RSVP your attendance by calling Dawn Crandall at 517-803-6460.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, May 25th!
